'THE
BIOGRAPHICAL PIRKE AVOT' Pirke Avot is one of the best-known
historic Jewish texts and possibly its most widespread studied. The
ethical teachings found in Pirke Avot have come together to form an
essential collection of traditional adages and maxims of the sages.
Avot contains sayings attributed to sages from Shimeon the Righteous
(200 BCE) to shortly after Yehudah HaNasi (200 CE). Pirke Avot contains
precepts and regulations that are to govern the lives and actions
