Alfassá
is a collection of 62 selected papers, both published and
unpublished, written between 1998-2008, on various topics
related to history, the political world and the loss of select
Jewish personalities. Papers on history include topics related
to Iberian and Ottoman Jewry, North African and other Jewry;
population movements, prominent rabbis and other Jewish figures.
There are several papers related to 20th century history in
regard to Zionism, revisionism, and the Middle East. There
is a section on the loss of prominent 20th century figures;
this includes obituaries on rabbinical leaders, academicians
and other noteworthy individuals.

About
the author: Shelomo Alfassá is Director of the U.S.
Campaign for Justice for Jews from Arab Countries.
He is the founder and former Executive Director of the International
Sephardic Leadership Council and the editor of the award
winning International Sephardic Journal. Mr. Alfassá
served as former Director of Research and Development for
Sephardic House at the Center for Jewish History
and as a long time consultant to the American Sephardi
Federation. He is the editor of Ethnic Sephardic Jews
in the Medical Literature and Reference Guide to the
Nazis and Arabs During the Holocaust. His articles have
appeared in the media such as The Jewish Press, Israel
National News, Image Magazine, Moment Magazine and several
other publications. Mr. Alfassas family is from the
Island of Rhodes and Ottoman Adrianople (Edirne), Turkey.
