My HAM Radio I don't Have

I have been thinking of getting my radio license for about 10 years now, figure I better do it. You say, why do we need radios, we have cell phones and computers? Let me tell you. After 9/11, and even after major storms, or earthquakes, cellular phones and computers go down. Remember, your cell phone might be wireless, but that cell tower it connects to has three liabilities: 1. electricity can fail; 2. it can collapse; 3. the fiber optic wires in the tower are susceptible to physical damage. When the Ishmaelites from Arabia murdered 3,000 people on September 11, 2001, the City of New York called on radio operators to help, because the cell phones went out. Something to think about.

So come back in a couple months, and maybe my call letter will be here. Until them, my call sign remains:

There is even a Jewish group of radio operators! Chaverim International is a worldwide organization formed to promote friendship and communication between Jewish amateur radio operators and their friends.
